Hi! In the Spring 2009 I was introduced to your blog site via my sister. She insisted I check out your blog for amazing transformations, ideas and tutorials. Your link is now saved on my blog site and I really enjoy your posts. I have a 2 1/2 year old boy, Kaden, and I really wanted to try to make the hooded towels. I printed out your tutorial and followed the steps. I've seemed to have mastered it. I've given some away for shower gifts (which are usually the best personal gift by far), kept some for myself and sold a few. I've attached a couple pictures of my kiddo with his new big towels. He'll be able to use them for years to come. Thank you to you and your amazing energy and willingness for keeping up your blog and inspiring so many! ALSO, it is so nice to see a solid marriage and family...you can just feel the love oozing on your blog. I married my high school sweetheart too and I love to see marriages that just keep growing and evolving. These days it just seems like more people give up through hard times. I really appreciate your strength in relationships and creative new ideas to keep the magic fresh and new.
Well that made my year! Thanks Lisa!
Since I feel in a giving mood after that- how about a GIVEAWAY! You all love free stuff. I will be giving a hooded towel away like Lisa made. To enter to win you must go visit Lisa and leave a SUHWEEET comment back to her, something other than her boy is adorable...because he is a red head...everyone already knows how stinkin cute he is. And then Lisa gets to pick the winner however she chooses, so bribing her may work I don't know. Winner will be announced Friday.
Gosh, that was a SUPER sweet comment. I'm headed over to visit now! : )
ReplyDeleteThose hooded towels are on my to do list. I love them and would love to win one to keep for one of my own kids! I have been searching Target and Kohls for cute towels.. but none that are as cute as yours.
ReplyDeleteI do these towels and always add ribbon to the parts of the towels that have a border on them. I always embroider the kids name right on the hood. So when they have it on you can see their name above their forehead. The ribbon party anyone can do with just a sewing machine, if you don't have access to a sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteI just made 2 for my identical twin grandsons! (I'm not too proud;-)) They are 18 months old and my son-in-law and daughter just love them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this great tutorial. I had searched and searched the web, but yours is by far the nicest, and easiest to follow!!!!!!
Again...much thanks!
Loretta
Ahhh...I love that!
ReplyDeleteLovin' your hooded towels, too!
:)
